Postby CJ » Wed Apr 08, 2009 7:26 pm

FYI, message from Westbrook Motors, a Mitsubishi dealer in Dublin. The fact that they supply by post may turn out to be useful for members looking for new parts:

Hi,

I’m Damien Clarke, the parts manager from Westbrook Motors in Parnell Street Dublin.

Just contacting you to let you know we can supply new and used Mitsubishi FTO parts countrywide by post.

If I can be any more help to you or your members please contact me via email or on 01-8744000 with your enquiry.

Best regards

Damien Clarke.

Agreed, taket whatever business you can get right now. If we can just get tyre fitters to stick on our Internet purchased tyres, we're laughing!

only interested in us now cause times are bad for them! too little too late in my opinion!!

Funny you should say that, I had to replace my front driver side tyre a couple of weeks back (pot hole ruined it only 4 months after I had it fitted :x ) and my local tyre fitters didn't have a problem fitting the one I ordered on Camskill!

Contacted Damien just out of curiosity for an alternator,,

Hi Jason,

Is your FTO a mivec? If so I can get an exchange unit. The cost would be 250+vat which works out at 303 euro.

It would take me about 2 days to get it and i would need your old one returned. Postage usually costs about 12euro.

If I can be of any further assistance drop me an email.

Regards

Damien <<<<<...

So thats 315 total,

Compared to these two,

Will this country ever change?

How about a reply....

Thanks Damian,

Unfortunately this price is considerably higher than a couple of other places where I can source the alternator (see attached links).

Is there any way that you could match this level of pricing - if so I would be very interested.

Regards.
