I was fishing on ebay for spare parts for my FTO and I keep seeing this thing advertised.

I imagine this is bullshit?

Total BS unfortunately. There's no magic button to get 10% gains in power. The FTO is what it is and is already pretty well tuned. Nothing short of nitrous or a turbo is going to bring it past 200 BHP, and even then, the engine just isn't designed for it.

Spend that money on a HKS air filter. Or a full cold air induction kit. Fooling your engine into thinking it's colder can't be as good as actually having colder air.

i found a box very similar to this behind where my stereo would go, but it has a little funny switch thing on it
i havent a clue what it is? if i could work out how to post pics i would show you all

two cables are spliced into the cigarette lighter power and earth and the other cables seem to go up behind the dash somewhere

That's just the inverter for your dials.
The buttons adjust the colour and brightness.

oh right, the dials as in the clock and voltmeter? is this a aftermarket thing then?

If your dials aren't just black and have just KMPH then they are aftermarket. The new ones have an inverter to power the lights in the new dials.

my dials are black though, however my clock and voltmeter light up blue

just different coloured backlight bulbs.

it might be the inverter for the kick plates .
they use the same style inverters , that's if you have them .

or any other bit that ''lights'' up on the dash/in the car

next week I think I'll buy a few more, selotape them on to the side of the car or whatever, I'll get this female dog up to 1000bhp+ before I done.
