Do GPX's have ABS? If not then VR's do.

Also:

No central locking

MOMO leather 3 spokes steering wheel

Inbuilt aerial

Boot is stripped out leaving only a lightweight, metal, removable floor

Safety mechanism on electric windows

Front seat colours dependent on body colour

Leather Gear Lever

Don't know if ye have struts but I have them front and rear

That's all I can think of really...

Strut braces front and rear are standard.

Righto bout the aerial.

It means what it means, I can take out the metal floor leaving just the spare exposed. Like, there is no carpet lining... It's to save on weight apparently.

Safety mechanism means that if I had sprogs, they couldn't choke themselves on my electric windows.

those specs shown on all the sites are usually wrong (inbuilt aeriel etc)

My take on it is,

GPvR gains over GPX:
Limited Slip Diff
Lowered Suspension
HID's
GPvR spoiler
GPvR coloured seats
Strut braces

GPX gains over GPvR
Front Foglights
Climate Control
Auto Folding Mirrors
Side Skirts
Cloth trim on doors
variable intermittent interval on the wiper
Sound Insulation

Dont think the metal yoke in the boot you talk about is mitsi fitted, all FTO boots were fitted out the same.
ABS was an optional extra on all models including the GS.
Central lockin (not sure) but again I think it was optional.

Struts were standard on the Vr.
LSD fitted.

Oh I'd love to have those folding mirrors...

Do I have more lowered suspension? Maybe that's why I've had to buy a sports bra...

yup your FTO has lowered suspension. All GPvR's would be facelift which would account for the ABS.

Surely a GPvR would have central locking standard?

As colm said above

Is the Vr suspension actually lowered or just stiffened up with stronger springs.
Shocks are the same.
Vr has larger diam anti roll bars.

you could just have gammy central locking too (not unheard of on FTO's) get himself to take the door card off, and see it there's actually a central locking motor behind there.

The most common link fitted to the front is 200mm long. The Vr ones are 75mm in length.

Anyone with a Vr willing to take a few pics of the inside of one of the front wheels, just as a matter of interest to see what the differences are.

You should have a button on the key for the "Keyless entry system".

I have no buttons on my keys. All I want is the both to lock when I turn the key. Christ like, even my felicia can do that much!

Check if it has central locking first, then if you get an alarm fitted, it can be wired to lock and unlock on arm/disarm.
Failing that, you can buy central locking kits to add central locking to cars without it. they're easy enough to fit. so fear not!

Slightly OT but speaking of alarms, anyone know any good auto-electricians around Limerick or nearby? Apparently Carcom on Henry street are supposed to be good...

My GPvR had central locking. It has a button on the original mitsi key that unlocks both doors or locks them. Doesn;t matter now since I use my clifford 650 for central locking and alarm etc.

The rest is as mentioned above. blue seats, struts, air con (not climate control), fog lights, HIDs, LSD etc.
