Was in a new Hyundai Coupe this morning, a 2.0 4 speed automatic model.
I was initially shocked to find that the gear shifter was pretty much identical to that on my FTO, only this is leather and has a chrome ring around the shift lock button. It looks as if it could be swapped easily.


Of more interest, was the gear shift surround, I measured both, and found that the pattern was identical, and the measurements from "P" to "D" position were only 2mm out, and the tiptronic position was absolutely identical to that on the FTO.

I feel a project coming on...

That reminds me of using pig arteries in heart operations.

this operation looks a litte more complex than that! got the breakdown of parts needed and an exploded diagram of the gear shifter, will price the gearknob anyway. shift surround could be more trouble than it's worth!
