It was fitted to the fto when i bought it so i havn't been able to figure out how it is configured. Does anyone know where i might locate some information on this or advise on the configuration of this controller please?

TIA

Russ, the configuration of the MVC86x is very similar to the MVC85x, check out the following link on mitsubishi-fto.org (the site you linked the pic from ;)) for more info:

Russman, I came across an old manual for the MVC86x and I've uploaded it onto the site, check it out:

You may alos be interested in a document that I put together after consultation with steelroe regarding the installation of a MVC86x in the event that you've no wiring harness, you can view it here:

Hi CJ,

Thats a great help thanks. I must have a play around with the settings tonight!!! I'm wondering more power low end or fuel efficiency hmmmmmm. A bit brok this month so looks like fuel takes priority.

Cheers

Or you could sell your Mivec Controller - I'll give you the price of a fill of petrol for it.

He has a point Russ, Mitsi got the got the Mivec cut in point pretty bang on, theres little to be gained from moving it around the rev range. Think of it as an expensive delimiter ;)

Hey,

Well i started to "play" around with the controller last night and its a bit of fun. If you bring the cutin point down really low the engine grumbles like a V8.. Its pretty nice. F*(K s up the power though so only good for a quick laugh. I've switched it back to default.
Are these things expensive? If i removed it would the speed limiter come back into effect? Cheers for all the fyi's wouldn;t of had a clue otherwise.
The only thing i couldn't get to work on this was the rpm gauge and kmh, not sure if is installed correctly or just my dumb ass!!

The model of controller you have does not remove the speed limiter, I have the exact same on fitted to my GPX and to be honest is is just for show not power increase
