Gaskets required for Mongoose Exhaust

Got Mongoose and decat with bracket, but no gaskets on Ebay. Sent request for gaskets but no reply from seller.
Bought standard gasket and Decat fitting kit but def look too small.
Anyone know where I might be able to get gaskets for the Mongoose?Sent a request to Camskill, hopefully they can help.

Was sure I read somewhere you could just use standard gaskets but comparing the sizes they seem way to small against the new exhaust???
If I'm wrong let me know, I'll then have a brand new set of gaskets for standard GR exhaust (think fits Mivec aswell but could be wrong) if anyone is interested, just collect, no charge.

Most exhaust places I know of can make up gaskets easily enough - where do you intend fitting the exhaust?

You can just use the exhaust putty. Thats what most exhaust fitters use anyway. It comes in a tube (like toothpaste), and cures to solid with the heat of the exhaust. It's fairly cheap <€10 for a tube which should be more than enough for a single exhaust.

The Mongoose bore is slightly bigger so you'll need the right size gaskets so as not to restrict exhaust gases.

I'll then have a brand new set of gaskets for standard GR exhaust (think fits Mivec aswell but could be wrong)

The Mivec exhaust has a wider bore than the non-Mivec so you might find that they're not interchangable.

You can just use the exhaust putty

Its an alternative but considering you're gonna be installing a decat and swapping it back out come NCT time, you'll have to reapply the putty when the cat goes back in and then again when its swapped out post-NCT.

The guys said my gaskets would fall apart when i took them off from the heat etc, do you reckon they might have meant the exhaust manifold gaskets??

You'll need one for the back box to middle section and a pair for the decat.

Not necessarily true, I've been using the same cat gaskets for a few years and they're sufficint for the job. Anyway, you'll be replacing them now that you're installing a bigger bore exhaust so its not an issue at the moment.
Manifold gaskets don't come into the equation unless you're replacing the downpipes.

CB - Try ringing Camskill and speaking to Mike - don't mention you just bought an exhaust from ebay or he'll be fairly unsympathetic - just say you've got your hands on a second hand Mongoose on this side and you're looking for gaskets to fit.

This has nothing to do with the exhaust manifold gaskets - I take it you are just fitting a DeCat back exhaust in which case its just the gaskets between the exhaust sections. They would usually be a larger bore than either GR or GPX standard gaskets.

Don't bother going to the UK for these. All quik fits etc. have them off the shelf. This is where I got them for my Mongoose. You can put some of the seal on also, but I don't really think you need this as the gaskets will seal perfectly when tightened.
