Did you disconnect you accelerator cable when taking out the stepper motor? If so you may have given it a little too much slack when you put it back on.

You could try resetting the ECU (disconnect the battery for about 20 mins). May not work but beyond that I'm out of ideas! I've never messed with the idle speed myself.

There a screw on the throttle body that adjusts the idle speed, give it a couple of turns and you should be able to get the level back in line.

Try turning it anticlockwise..

if the revs drop further turn it clockwise ;-)
