I got me a blueflame exhaust, now the standard exhaust that came off the fto had nuts on the end of the bars that fit into the rubber rings. The blueflame has just smooth metal bars. Now the rest stay in fine, but one keeps slipping out of its rubber ring, is there a tried and tested method to get the little blighter to stay put?

Heat the rod and bend it slightly..

Or whack it with an adjustable force applicator.. (hammer)

I tried that, it doesnt get any wider. I am even tempted to put a big chunk of araldite on the end.

can you move the rubber bit on the hanger?

mig weld on a bolt or something onto the end of the exhaust hanger. maybe its positioned wrong if it keeps slipping off?

Wrap the end of the bar in electrical tape to a few mm deep.

Small jubilee clip on the end of the bar is best solution here. Did the same on mine about 4 years ago and it has not budged since.

Plenty of solutions for this one! I've used a couple of cable ties in the past and doubled up around the head of the hanger.

Will try one or all of these methods.

Had to google a jubilee clip, but it looks like what I need.
