I agree that the embroidered look of a logo is better. We recently got polo t-shirts with our department logo embroided on them and they look good. Simplicity in design is most effective and I think a car symbol could look tacky also. Thanks :) Pity theres no blue t-shirt option 8)

I think a few people have commeted on the potential tackiness of a picture so maybe we'll leave that one out.

Hi there,

Sizes are not a problem can get s, m, l, xl no problems.
Spoke to guy about prices and got the following.

Embroided will cost approx 15 euro per t-shirt and then the t-shirt itself which start at around 7 euro and go up and up based on quality and style. I am meeting him tonight to get the full clothes catelog and will post some pics tomorrow. They do fleeces to!! yaay
Had to outsource embroid etc as collar is very difficult

Anyway printed they are less expensive. about 10 for printing and then cost of shirts themselves... so all in all it seems like a good deal i'm getting so will finalise everything tomorrow.

Thanks
Russ

So your talking at minium €22 per t-shirt..

I think this is very steep.. My brother has his on plumbing businness and he got jackets, fleeces and t-shirts done up with his logo and name of comapany on them.
The cost was as follows..

€80 - for the cd with all your graphics on it. then after that the cost was...

Jackets - €22
Hooded Jumpers - €18
T - Shirts - €9

The above prices where all with his embroided logo. The jackets are lovely regatta jackets really good quality - and so are the t-shirts and jumpers of excellent quality.

Is that there best price?

Hi Irish Girl,

Are these embroided? As i mentioned the prices of the printed versions are much less than embroided as he just uses a machine to cut out a sticky material to apply to the shirts.

You say T-Shirts - 9 euro, are they t-shirts or Collared Polo Shirts?
I'll be seeing him later tonight so i'll know exactly what the story is on what we can get done etc... i know if you go into Dunnes etc it might cost you 15-20 euro to buy three plain white polo shirts of questionable quality... Anywhoo last see what he has to offer... If its not good value we can look elsewhere. I've delt with these guys lots and there usually great value.

More tomorrow.

Price sounds ok to me, it is customised afterall. When you say the embroidery has to be outsourced are you saying that this crowd only does printed type themselves? (just wondering)

FWIW and I don't mean to throw a spanner in the works  I'm not mad on the FTO logo on the collar. What do people think? I'm guessing it also adds a good bit to the cost?

I'm of the same ilk to be honest - not mad on a collar logo. Chest and/or sleeve would be fine. I'd be inclined to keep costs down if the estimates are anything to go by....

CJ

Another thought on this. The collar on a polo shirt is usually a ribbed type material (as opposed to being completly flat), I'm not sure that this is an ideal base for embroidery. While the collar in the graphic looks very neat a real polo shirt collar does not sit quite so neatly....

Agree with CJ, chest/ sleeve logo looks good :smt023

Just got hold of the printed ones and they actually look quite well... i've also got a girl's top as well.. sort of fitted look top with a different desgin.. remember this is printed not embroided
I've been told that cost of embroided is good for what we are after design wise.

I'll post a picture then lets make a decision and i'll tot up all the orders.

Cheers

Excuse the quality... imate jas jars can't take good pictures!!

Ok here are the printed versions....
So go with printed or embroided???
Never mind shirt types they are just two he happened to have sitting there.. i've gone through a huge catelog and picked out some nice ones for the final versions. If the girls are looking for fitted tops let me know and we'll see whether enough numbers etc.

thanks
