Hi , The connection of my indicator has come lose and must be replaced.
I have ordered a new one and should be here tomorrow .
Do I need to remove the steering wheel in order to properly remove the indicator compartment or would I be able to work around it?

Yes steering wheel will have to be removed to gain access to it.

When removing the wheel, leave the centre nut on a few turns before pulling it off. This will prevent you walloping yourself with it.

Unfortunately, yes. Also broke the airbag clockspring in the process.
Add airbag to the list of things that didn't work on that car (fiat)
