FTO New Zealand up and running

Postby Kace » Fri Feb 05, 2010 1:07 am

Just browsing and noticed that the New Zealand Club + Forum has recently been formed. Postings and members seem light on the ground at present, but sure these things have to start somewhere !!

Check it out : http://www.fto.co.nz/

Looks like there are only 2 members on there at present and one of them just wrote off his FTO !!

Hey guys, thanks for posting up a link Kace.

We are indeed small at the moment, just started to advertise this week so hopefully should see more joining.
I'm just learning about FTOs as I go, so if you want to share your words of wisdom to the kiwi community please do.

New Zealand currently has 2440 FTOs registered in the country. Do you know how many are in Ireland?

Cheers,
Scott

Ah for christs sake, forum set up just as I leave the country? Talk about bad luck!
Best of luck with the NZ one guys. Maybe itll make more people aware over there of how nice the car actually is, I think that there are too many people driving around with them over there that dont appreciate them for what they really are.
By the way is it the chch lads that have set this up? As they were talking about it on the Oz forum a while back.

Hey Dragonheart you're so right, there's plenty of people driving FTOs out here that don't know anything about it and think it's just another normal car.

I set it up, I'm from Waihi and got my first FTO about 10 months ago. I must sign up to the FTO aussie site and get the kiwis attention.

Ask any questions and someone on here will have the answer. We're a pretty knowledgeable group even if I do sayso myself. :) Good luck setting up buddy! I joined too so I'll be popping on occasionally.

Fair play to them. It should do quite well with that amount of FTOs registered over there.

Strange as though it seems - it reminds me of how we were organised in Ireland 'during the formative years'
Any enthusiasts were all members of UK and other forums just like the existing small numbers of Kiwis are probably all involved in FTOAustralia right now.

This will only pick up from now on as more and more people spread the word and hear about the site.

Theres a few on FTOOz all right, a lot are kiwis living in Oz though. But there would stil lbe a lot of them. I used only see 2 or 3 FTOs in Chch that were modified, but they were stunning looking. The majority were in pretty bad nick. Maybe if there was a bit more awareness around about them people would start taking better care of them. Would be nice to see some of them get better treatment.
