Are these Rear Light Clusters (Blacked Out/Smoked) legal for the NCT.

tinting spray is very cheap (under €10), so don't go buying those lights unless your own ones are broken. I reckon those lights are too dark to pass an NCT though, and the reflector is sprayed over.

just on a side note, (not worthy of it's own thread IMO)

what does anyone think of this? thinking of trying this on mine (excuse the MS Paint job!)

first tint indicators red, then spray body colour, or with black tint.

I quiet like it, but I'd say gluing a body coloured strip there would be a better option.

Very interesting Aston Martin copy on the rear units.

Just tint them red and mask off a bodycolour strip across the centre - I'm ashamed to say I actually quite like it.

Is it legal though for an nct with the indicators not being orange? Cause when I changed the colour of the side repeaters on a previous car it was picked up that they werent standard colour.

As far as I know they just have to be orange when they're lit up..

I like the thinking behind the lights - it's a brilliant idea - it's something new and fresh..

Do it and lets see ;-)

You won't get away with a full black tint in the NCT, but red tint works fine. Indicators still seem orange and you'll also see many other cars with full red rear lenses so it doesn't really stand out that much.
