Postby paul2508 » Sun Apr 18, 2010 7:59 pm

i noticed a small bit peeling when i purchased my fto. i bought the scotia white touch up paint in halfords just to cover the small part . but i noticed its getting worse on a different part off the bumper, other areas seem to be bubblinng too. it looks horrible when paint comes off it especially when you have a white fto :(
anyone else have this problem?? pluys i was wondering how much would it be to get the front bumper resprayed ?
have to get it done , its really offputting .

how can you tell if its original paint work or respray?
feel disapppointed now after hearing that. had mechanic with me and assured me there was no evidence of crash damage at front or anywhere etc. . maybe it was just a bad respray on bumper and nothing else

original paintwork doesn't tend to come off.

Usually you can tell a respray by looking carefully at the paint surface. there will always be at least 1 imperfection every 2 square feet like a tiny speck of dust under the paint. you don't tend to get this with factory paint.

respray or replacement of a bumper isn't the worst to be fair, bumpers get damaged for all sorts of reasons, don't feel bad!
