Fto's and the carwash!!

Have just bought a black FTO 95 GS, Immaculate, only 42000km, have been looking for the the right one for months!! Have always driven Mits and plan to stay thet way. wondering though if anyone has every had a problem in regards to the spoiler and the carwash. Have been told to watch out for the spoiler in the carwash as they could be damaged! Is this crap or what?

If your talking the automated car wash and not a jet wash then yes stay away from it, it can cause problems,

The general rule of thumb is to stay away from all automatic car washes, they mess your paintwork up over time. As regards the pressure washers, they loosen paint on plastics and can actually penetrate the top substrate in some instances. Get a sponge, a bucket and a chamois, its the only way..
