What is the story with the pricing of cars in the above Garage. They have three facelift FTO's for sale at the moment, all '97's and all over 12K. Anyone on here taken a look at any of them. The black one seems to be there for ages.

Haven't taken a look but would be interested in the black manual, but E12000 seems a bit much and out of my price range. They did drop it by E500, must be no takers

What would be a good price for a 97 face lift Manual FTO 50000 miles in mint condition?

Cheers,
Jon

the most I would be willing to spend would be between 9.5-10K

In my experience its not just FTO's that are overpriced - I have looked at a number of his cars over the past couple of years and they all tend to be about 2K over similar importers prices.

BTW - I would add Enterprise cars (Limerick) to this list of overpriced imports - they look for silly money for imports.

A bit pricey alright. But a genuine bargain compared to the '94 MR2 turbo which they are selling, with an asking price of €19,500 :wink:

Seems to be a common enough trend amoung Jap import garages..red cow autos springs to mind.

WTF?! Theres a 95 MR2 on their site for 9 grand => http://www.byrneautos.com/

I can't understand how they're making money with the prices listed but obviously people are buying cars off him. Its a pity as he has some really nice motors in stock as well.

That's what I thought. Maybe it's a mistake, perhaps the 1 should not be there. €9,500 sounds a bit more realistic. Otherwise this really is extortionate!

I don't suppose you were told (honestly) how much it went for?
BTW i was looking at carzone and "this car was confirmed to be in stock today [18/01/05]"
I see he has another silver '97 GPX for sale €12750, doesn't say if its manual or tip...bit pricey in any case!

Yea i thought straight after i hung 'feck i shouldve asked what it went for' but no, i didnt think of it when i was onto them.
He also actually said he was getting another in in the next day or two and he'd ring me when it (they?) arrived, which he hasnt yet.

Certainly very handy the way its sitting right there in a dealers yard, but unfortunately 12 (1275 even?!!) is well out of my price range..
