Know how you feel re the tax but theres a lot to be said for 3 months on/2 months off on the tax front when you're driving a Zed esp if you have a 2nd car to fall back on. I absolutely detest giving 1566 Euro per annum in road tax when a 60K BMW gets away with 156 euro tax per annum and that is precisely the reason I've had the Zed taxed for 6 months of the last year (and I've still tax to 2011). In all other aspects though the Zed is hard to beat although that FTO is serious value as well.

Seb, got another one because after looking at a few Cars like the 350z (which i did love),skyline felt it was starting to age alittle + hard to find a good 1,Supra also felt it was starting to age, But the fto still look's great and for the money that they are selling for these day's.

Think I'll leave it alone and keep it standard, I am looking for a set of standard wheel's in good nick as the one's on it are not great.

Nice purchase John.. :smt004

Have you thought of getting those wheels refurbed? Tallon wheels is close to you and they do a really good job. Last time I got a quote off them it was €350. That included a car to runabout in while they had yours. I suppose if you took the wheels off, it would be cheaper..
Be nice to nerds. Chances are you'll end up working for one.

If you skip months of tax do you not have to pay arrears unless it's declared off the road?

Your local friendly guard would soon figure out what was going on...

Local friendly Garda station doesn't give a toss and hardly looks at the form to sign. They are not there to question if your car was off the road - just to provide a witness signature.
