Postby paul2508 » Tue Jan 11, 2011 2:37 am

planning on fitting exhaust to my car the weekend. came off a gx but its a cat back apexi exhaust and was told it fits any de3a model , paperwork with it confirms it too. first thing i wanna know is what cat will i use the one off the gx that was attached to the exhast system or a mivec one to suit my car? and secondly are all the rods where the hangers fit underneath the car in the same place on all de3a models? cheers peeps .

Am i better off just leavin my cat on and removing the middle and back section just and just putting my system straight onto my cat? Dont see why not really. Are the cats different sizes on mivec and non mivec models.

Gx and gpx both use the larger diameter exhaust so as far as I remember they're the same. I'd be inclined to use your own cat as you don't know what condition the new one is in.

Never thought of a mini hacksaw. But wouldn I be cutting the bolts off the cat? As I'm taking the middle and back section off and leaving on my own cat

What exhaust is that? i only know exhausts made for mivec FTOS,and you need to change the catalyzer because it wont fit on a GR,GS or GX...
