It is a beautiful car but I dont agree with someone who has it a couple of weeks making a claim such as 'cared for like a baby', seems like they are claiming credit for Gabicos work. Also 'must be cleanest in the country', again its in great nick but if this person had any knowledge on FTOs and FTO-Ireland then they'd know about clean FTOs and how many out there are in top nick. And what exactly does 'must have long nct' mean??

I recently had a bit of a battle with a fella selling a car on a site in NZ, he claimed it was the 'rare GPvR, one of 200 made, only 3 in New Zealand,' and that it was worth so much more than the lower quality GPX, and was looking for €4500. So I corrected him, 'saying he must be thinking of the yellow limited edition and that the GPvR is not one of those so its not one of 200 made. He then came back and told me I was thinking of the 'Mivec GR', that the GPvR is much more expensive than the GPX cause of 'all the extras'. I then replied with a bit of a blunt comment about his so-called GR Mivec (aka GPX if he actually had any clue at all!!!), and couldnt be bothered checkign his last comment cause he was obviously a waste of time.
Sorry for the rant.

Maybe he couldn't afford the insurance or something. Nothing wrong with making an effort to sell the car!

lol @ GR Mivec!

At Dragonheart: by " must have long nct " the seller is reffering to a possible trade in.
I wonder how much Gab sold her for? In the pics on gumtree the paintwork looks like a patchwork quilt, looks like she's had a front end respray??

Im surprised to see the car up for sale so soon.
I talked with the guy last time about 3 weeks ago and he was very happy with the car. The insurance could be an issue cause as he is very young.
Don't think its fair to say how much i got for it but if he manages to sell it near the asking price he is making a nice profit. I dont have any problems with this, I had the car for sale for almost two months I think and only 3 people came to test the car.

A 1.6 Impreza will sell to someone who doesn't want the running costs, inherint risk of engine failure, or insurance bills of the real deal, people pay that sort of money for 1.4 litre Golfs, it's more a reflection of the deflated prices performance cars are suffering.

Definitely something dodgey looking about the front end in those pictures, maybe he started to polish it got the bonnet and wings done then couldn't be arsed to do the rest  Those wheels are the dogs frolicks though :D
