Cool custom rear clusters

Postby CJ » Tue Jan 10, 2006 9:51 am

Check out the pics on the FTOOC, they look really unique, something different that hasn't been attempted before:

They look really good! I'd like a pair on my white car. Could make the car look a bit like an integra from the back at a distance. That guy could make a fortune making them up for people.
You know, somebody actually complimented me on my driving today. They left a little note on the windscreen, it said 'Parking Fine'.

They'd look even better if the black parts were sprayed in the FTOs bodycolour as you'd just see the circular lights - something like the next Skyline R35 -

Agreed, but (and its a small but) do you not think that the outline of light cluster would look a bit out of place? (unless you managed to blend it of course).

Without trying to detract from the excelent job that brutus has done on the lights, I don't reckon it would be too hard to achieve the same result with a bit of time and patience. That reminds me, I have a broken rear light cluster in the shed, hmmm ;)

Hmmm - The blending would certainly help - wouldn't like to ever break a tail-light though - there'd be some pain in getting it back to standard.

It's a pretty straight forward job really. You've just got to get it right first time.

Almost drooling here..

If only he could make the lenses point straight back rather than follow the curves of the original light..

I wish I could do plastic work type things...

I really liked them when they were black on white, but white on white looks even better :) No puns please ;) Means having to send lights to him though. Hmm! No car for a week or more. Couldnt handle the separation anxiety.
