Just de-catted the GR!

Postby mark » Wed Feb 06, 2008 6:03 pm

Well, I finally got around to taking the cat off my system.(Really only did it to save the cat for next nct to be honest  ) Strange exhaust note to get used to- a lot louder at low revs while not too loud on the motorway :D . Definate performance gain, 1st gear acceleration is very quick now when it used to be crap! I'm now straight through as I removed the center muffler and only have the back box which ends in quads. The car gets a lot more attention driving around town as it has a low rumble which I like and then turns into an M3 when the foot goes down!

Ah, thanks guys. Yeah the '08' plate, have to keep the FTO alive!
CJ, believe it or not I did have a few snaps but have mis-placed them in one of my many 500gb hard drives, it might be quicker if I do some new pics!

Basically a straight shot. I desaturated the colour and left the rear lights red. It was a grey day so didn't make much of a difference. Other than that a couple of small oil stains on the tarmac got taken out. With lots more time I'd remove all the buildings reflected on the back of the car. Oh and the reg was changed
This shot of the Jag on Dollymount got a bit more work done to it!

That makes me want to get the camera out.
I find the hardest thing is getting a good reflection, the car itself is a great model... the February meet should be a good opportunity.

THANKS! I'm sure a few other owners may disagree which is fair enough. I'd hate to add up the amount of hours I've spent polishing it
