this is how they look at night. (brightness is adjustable and they can change from blue to green)

Ebay only have tiptronic dials. will work on all tiptronic V6 models

On the wee panel just below the steering wheel - only place it wasn't too visible and I can still use it.. I did cut my hands quite badly doing the wireing through the sharp metal bracketry behind the dash panels.

The switch is a bit awkward. I took the assembly apart and got rid of the metal bracket. drilled holes in the dash and mounted it from inside.

The original kit they sent me was missing 1 plug. (prob for a different car) so they sent me an extension cable with 3 extra plugs. no such worries then!

(they also sent me glowing valve cap covers as an apology)

There's a good write up here, including a nice idea for mounting the switch.

The switch on the Visual performance dials is a lot bigger than on the KMC, also unusual shape.

The dimmer for the dials is on the left under the stereo.

I think the KMC reverse glow dials are far nicer than the regular ones. They aren't doing the nice ones anymore.

You're too kind!

Cut out the writing over and under the temperature knob since that was taken.

Will be re-doing it soon, as I didn't have a piece left with the weave going in the same direction as the bit on the centre console.

Next job is to cover the armrest and bottom of door panels like this:

That FoliaTec gear isn't cheap, but it looks a lot better than the cheaper stuff.

Real carbon fibre covers (or more likely a mix of plastic and CF) as opposed to replacement parts in CF. Theres a load of similar parts for the Zed as well - I've a B pillar and mirror covers that are waiting to go on the Zed. No performance benefit (which would be negligible in any case) - but it looks the part. Even the latest M3 and RS4 use CF trim - but its just that - trim - as opposed to a genuine performance replacement part.

mine's a GPX and the positions of MPH are exactly the same as the KMPH on the old dials.

(My bigger wheels mean the speedo readout is actually bang-on, no overstating speed as is the case with cars on standard wheels)

Can't wait to get the rings, and the dial cups someone else has promised.
