I'm a big Supra fan myself, Speedboy (on the forum every so often) had a non Turbo one for a while, my pref would be for the GZ TT (obviously!)

You know, somebody actually complimented me on my driving today. They left a little note on the windscreen, it said 'Parking Fine'.

Supra

Postby Muad_dib77 » Wed Dec 21, 2005 1:51 pm

They're definately mean machines - and IMO they look awesome..even standart..

a bit like the FTO..

Looks good if you modify it well
Looks good if you don't modift :-)

Quite a jump pricewise though - then again...quite a jump performance wise.

Would love to actually try one - to see if they handle as well as they look..

I'm pretty sure that to get one of those monsters insure most would have to go through one of those 4000excess companies :-)

There are few companies around that will do it, maybe for a price, but they will do it.

Those new excess policies look like an interesting option though.

I see that one all the time - don't like the front bumper but apart from that it's well done. The guy tried selling it a while back but I assume couldn't get a buyer.....

Around when I was looking for an FTO I did insurance quotes from 123.ie, supra quotes were coming out cheaper than FTO quotes, which I thought was mad at the time considering the Supras were more powerful!

Nice looking machine, never been in one though.

yep, today on bestquote.ie, so that's not pulling in any favours from my current company, and there are a few other things that are annoying me about the car apart from the turbo....

if i do consider this it won't be till june/july of next year!!

123.ie

Postby IrishPhoenix » Fri Dec 23, 2005 7:59 am

123.ie have a special premium for sports cars...

http://www.123.ie/motor/quote_xs.htm.

So for me on a RZ twin turbo its £980.39euros with excess of £4000. fully comp.

Or £2050, with excess of £300.

Britton insurance was the same - £960.39 with excess of 4000

maybe it could be, because the number of fto's on the road compared to supras.....
more accident claims going in against the fto, therefore may be bringing up insurance, would that make sense at all :?:

I don't know, I see more supras on the road than FTOs. Being an FTO site we generally hear about FTO crashes but not Supra bumps, and even thats a pretty low number. Even less go through insurance methinks. I'd be surprised if there were more FTO accidents.
