You mean these?

I've done the drivers side, and need to do the passengers side now.

Its not a hard job, the only part that was a pain was taking the track rod end off. That bit I found it impossible to do without damaging the track rod end to get it off the wheel end. A shame, cos the one that was on it was perfect!

To make sure your tracking isn't too far off afterwards, count the number of turns needed to take the old one off, and then after when putting it back on, twist it back on the same number of turns. Doing that mine was pretty close afterwards.

There's a guide around somewhere I think... workshop manuals (on download page) maybe.

Actually, the alternative which I'm going to try out is a boot you can get which you can glue together in place. So you just cut off the old one, slip this one over the joint, comes with glue to seal up, so you don't need to take any parts off at all.

Did mine a few weeks ago too on both sides, found the inside clip a little awkward to get at, used a junior hacksaw in the end no problem, also when sliding on the new track rod boot grease the front it, goes on alot easier

Chances are you'll need a proper ball joint splitter, any decient motor factors will have them

Did mine recently also. I unscrewed the steering rack from the TR end, took about 4mins each side, not difficult, greased up the new gaitors, cut them to fit and cable tied them on at each end. Cable ties were supplied with the gaitors. Most motor factors should have the gaitors over here if anyone else is reading this :!:

Its a disposable one I'm sure, can't get it off without twisting it. There should be a tie clip in the kit anyway so no hassles.
