I wasn't very clear, there are zips on seats but no zip sliders to close them up. I'll get onto Max...

Yep - there are no zips on the seats. I thought maybe we needed to rip the spreaders off the old set and work them on to the new ? Can this be done or do they need to send on the actual spreaders for the zips?

I didn't expect to have to do anything to the covers before fitting them. I'll be very disappointed if there are no zips when I get mine.

A couple of the UK guys have the same problem, missing zip pulls, not sure how one fits the missing parts. Do you have the plastic end cap/guide that finishes off the zip as well?

Without seeing a set guys its difficult to know what you're referring to. I already mailed Max, I guess he'll reply overnight.

Hi All,
Seat cover should be arrived with the zip and the sliders attached to it.
It seems that few people are missing the sliders.
Unfortunately, this sort of error is happening first time and shouldn't happen at all.
I am sorry for any inconvenience that may caused.

To solve this issue, I have notified the production, and hold the postage for couple of days to make sure to check again that zip sliders are attached for the rest of the covers.

The zip should not have a hard plastic end. All you have to do is to insert both ends into the slider, and pull it up. Works same.

Below are more FedEx codes.

connor 8540 5339 1785
slinky 8540 5148 1590
Heathy12 8540 5554 0197

For the missing zips, if you would like to urgently fix this issue, I may kindly ask you to visit a local place that sells zips who can match a slider.

In worst case scenario, I might have to resend the sliders.

I will do my best to solve the issues, and sorry for any inconvenience that may caused.

Regards

Hi Max - would you be able to organise that the sliders be sent on to me from your production facility. I presume some others would prefer this also.

I don't have time to fit them at present anyway (and it doesn't look easy either)

Thanks in advance

Hi All,
I have finished writing description for the photos.
http://www.annesflowerbasket.com.au/fto/SeatCoversInstallationDIY.doc
http://www.annesflowerbasket.com.au/fto/frontseats.zip
You need to read the document along with the photos.
Hope this makes sense.

Hi All,
No need to worry about the wrinkles.
3-4 days after fitting it will all be disappered.
If you really want to you can iron the seat covers. Dont direct iron it though!. Put a t-shirt on it, and iron on top of t-shirt with med-high heat.
Make sure the cable ties tied enough, otherwise this may lead to a loose fit. It should be all stretched out and tight finish.
Use the rods and frames cames out of the old covers. If you need some extra metal rods, coat hanger is the best one to use. Make sure the rods are thick enough so it doesnt bent while fitting. This may cause a loose fit as well.

Only 10 more hours till I'm home..and I can have a good proper look..

Already removed rear seat from car so I can get started ASAP! :-)

Fitted top half of rear seat last night... Looks amazing...but I have a few blisters from the process.. :?

Any ways - I notced that my Zips on the front seats don't have the sliders.. How did everybody else get around this :?:

I really wanted to get the 2 front seats done tonight - but if it's not possible to have the zips stay zipped without the sliders I'll have to work something out over the weekend.

you dont need the sliders to get the zips backon .,
easy enuff to get the zipper attached, just takes a bit of time and fiddlin around, then just sew the ends up so the zip doesent slide back off.

zip sliders

Postby zacob » Wed Feb 01, 2006 6:58 pm

I was able to put the seats on without the sliders. Just takes one or to gos to get it started , but once started it zips up fine. They look really good to. However don't underestimate the time needed to replace the covers. They take a lot of time and effort to do correctly.
