Haven't had any sort of holiday since last Nov, so off in Oct.

Any tips?

Any tips?

Old telephone books make ideal personal address books.
Simply cross out the names and addresses of people you don't know.

I worked in Lanzarote for a while after leaving school.
Best tip I have would be to avoid Irish & English restaurants...*shudders* The things I've seen.

Oh and if you come across yellow snow, don't eat it

Ok this is slightly OT, but a few summers back I went to Ibiza 1 week before the season started.. Ok so it wasn't quite planned that way..but as it turned out it was great..

1. The weather was superb
2. All the pubs were open in preparation for the big hoohaa when the nightclubs open
3. Restaurants and Beaches weren't packed

It was great -and I recall paying 4.50e for a bottle of gin whilst the mixers came to about a tenner..

1st result, we ran out of mixers before we ran out of gin..solution..straight gin...

End result.. Banging headache..

It was fun in the sun
It was cheap
and most importantly
It wasn't packed fully of tourists as I'd expected - I actually met and spoke to a number of locals..

I'm pretty sure we stayed on Playa Del Fuego or Fuentas, little hotel facing on to the sea..ground floor apartment, had a couple of pool tables - no need for a swimming pool (ocean was there and was perfectly acceptable to go for a swim in it)..

I'm not too sure at this stage to be honest but any travel agent should be able to tell you exactly when is good to go..
