Rolling Road Feb '04 stats

Postby CJ » Thu Jul 29, 2004 5:15 pm

I had kinda forgotten about these rolling road figures from earlier in the year, I was waiting on more figures from people that never came! Next time I'll bring a pen and paper ;) Anyway, heres a cross-section of some of the figures being put out on the day, there are no Tips included as the dyno in place at the time could not properly guage readings (due to slippage in the torgue convertor). Check out the torque figure on the (superchipped) Mondeo TDCi!

Agreed, Daz's GPX lost 1bhp with a K&N cone filter over the stock airbox. It would be good to get a stock car on the rollers and gradually add an induction kit, exhaust and cat bypass to see what gains each mod gives or takes away!

I drove a civic with a complete straight trough exhaust before and it had lost an awful lot of back pressure so was slower than standard, It'd be nice to access to the rolling road alright

Ive got one of these http://www.race-technology.com/WebPage2 ... 2Home.html if you want to try and do some before and after tests with an FTO on the same road same conditions

Im not sure how accurate it is but by doing the same test in the same car the performance change would be easily noticible

Not much in the difference in the torque figures between the GR and the GPX.
