Snap ! (nearly) and minor post hijack - I am looking for anyone with a spare HID ballast (not the OEM GPvR one that mark is looking for).

I am looking for a replacement ballast from one of the inexpensive eBay HID kits. Anyone got a spare for sale. I see them on eBay but thought I would check with you guys first. I currently have one light that goes on and off randomly - cops are liable to pull me over for having strobe lighting :)

Anyone ?

Hi Kace,

RE: your ballest, I have contacted a place on the long mile road beside Des Kellys called german autos that do hid's. He's going to have a look at mine and I'll let you know how i get on or if you want to contact him yourself....... as they have all different types & he may have something to suit you.

Grand - thanks Mark. Also I'm not sure what the OEM unit looks like and how it compares to the aftermarket kits, but if the guy is looking to charge you an arm and leg, take a look at eBay also for options.

Anyone out there know what the OEM connectors are like in comparison to aftermarket - would these be interchangeable I wonder ?

The Mitsi HID's are fittd with D2S lamps. I can get my hands on 1 good Ballast but what I would do is buy a D2S hid kit on ebay and replace both ballasts. This kit will fit onto the lamps already fitted to the FTO hids system.
