I did them... phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=7631&hilit=tappets

The pictures were removed/lost during the last forum upgrade.
Intake is .1mm and exhaust is .13mm.

I wouldn't do them again to be honest. The tappet noise went entirely for about a month, then slowly came back to the way it was. 2 years on, its as it was. I could not be bothered to do it all again just for a slight (very slight) lowering of the tappet noise. Back then I was all enthused and bought the tool and everything. haha. The noise will return and it does not affect your performance once they are set right.

I did mine last week, I'ts a fiddly job but the engine sounds sweet now. I needed to change the rocker gaskets as they were leaking anyway so it made sense to do the tapets and replace the plugs at the same time.

I made the special tool that's required to do the job out of a 10mm box spanner with a notch ground out to clear the high speed cam lobe.

For instructions there is a download on this site for "technical manuals" that explains what to do, it sounds more complicated than it actually is.

Good luck :)

yeah, I'd do it again only if I was replacing the rocker cover gaskets or something like that. Wouldn't do it on its own. Mind you, it is 2 years since I did it, so I can hardly expect it to sound the same. It was good for a couple of months if I recall and then started to get back to how it sounds. It's not overly tappety, but compared to after the adjustments its a bit tappety alright. Not that you can hear it when Im driving with the decatted 5zigen LOL. only when Idling.
