with getting it couriered over and with the exchange rate it is still coming in under a grand.thinking about maybe waiting and saving to use new timing belt kit on thatinstead of my own engine as its clocking up on 240k now

DubC is selling a mivec engine. Might try him and would be a lot cheaper.

my engine still runs perfect and pulls well apart from slightly noisy tappets and a slight drool from a few spots..would be a lovely job to have a spanking new motor tho

You could rebuild your own engine to the very same standard as that one.

You can adjust the tappets.
