If you want quiet, don't decat, dont upgrade induction, don't upgrade to big bore exits.

colm_mcm wrote:You'll probably want to get it up on a ramp if the cat's never been off. those bolts are very hard to get off the first time and its hard to get leverage if you're lying under the car. you may need an impact gun to loosen the bolts.
As for storing it, just stuff some tissue paper in either end and wrap in bubblewrap.

Its a job I'm going to do to mine when I get back too. NCT prob first thing to do cause I think it'll be out. But after hat she comes off.
colm_mcm wrote:Earlier FTOs are fitted with an overheat sensor for the cat. the Camskill one has provision for this.
Some other decats don't have somewhere to put the sensor, if you unplug it you get the overheat light on your dash.
The decat will obviously never overheat - it's just somewhere to put the sensor.

Not if you get the Camskill one and transfer your heat sensor over to the decat. If your car hasn't got a heat sensor (many facelifts don't) you'll need to put a bolt in there instead.
It's actually easy enough to remove the bulb on the dash.
