Couldn't stay away!

Postby GarLaf » Fri Nov 10, 2006 6:28 pm

Hello everybody. I bought a 99 GX sport today on bonsaicars.com. I used to drive a 95 GR. I sold it in early 05 to buy a 99 Impreza turbo. The Impreza was 250 hp, it had a leather interior, oz rims, a/c , superb handling. After driving it for some time a few things became clear. It was no where near the FTO in terms of styling, excitement, comfort and class. Unfortunatley many people consider the impreza to be drivin by 'gowgers'. I had no attachment to it. The FTO is a car that you look at every morning and are glad to own. When you sell it you regret it. It still looks amazing even though it first sold in 94 and even more importantly it still turns heads. I have already ordered the dials, rings , logos, hiro wing and cant wait to drive it again. Im sure there are many who will agree with me. Maybee there are other second time owners. I couldn't stay away!

Welcome back.

It's like the Mafia, you can never leave.

I'm jealous of the '99

GarLaf, thanks for the confirmation on what I already believed.
On any future occation I think of trading in my FTO I'll read back on your words for inspiraton.
I mean trading your car in for another model is not like trading your woman. Your car should matter to you

Got a 99 GX sports package tip with 53k, silver, Grade 4. Should be about 11 grand including vrt and duty. Been on the look out for a while now . I was looking for a GPX but the extra cost didnt warrant 17 hp. Now I dont want to start a tip v manual disscusion its all about personal opinion. I do a lot of motorway driving and there is that mad cow tailback everyday so I opted for the tip again. I have drivin many other cars with auto and that box is the best out there. Anyone Know how the 5 speed compares to the 4 speed? I bought that Hiro spoiler off ebay. Dissapointing. Looks nothing like the one on Steve Hemmings website. He will give me a refund. Anyone know where the best place is to buy the real thing.
