1998 AeroGX Series For Sale

Postby zjdaruwalla » Wed Mar 25, 2009 7:56 pm

Hi, All!

Had posted that I may be selling my baby a few months ago but wasn't sure as I was waiting on my career plans to decide on what I'll be doing and where I'll be going...So, my baby is finally for sale. You can see pics on the post I put up a few months ago but in summary, she is a:
- 1998 Champagne Silver AeroGX Series
- Low Mileage of 50k (only been driving to hospital and back)
- Immobilizer and a Med Alarm System
- Regularly serviced by Paul Nolan
- NCT'd till 12/09
- Taxed till 02/10
- Pretty much unmarked body

Any reasonable offer will be considered. Am getting a little over 4k with my trading it in with a friend's mate who runs a garage but the guy said if I can find someone on my own, thats fine so just figured I'd give first dibs to any of the FTO Club lads. You can text or call me on 0876483168 if you're interested.

Cheers,
Zubin

Hey Zubin,

You should post a few pictures that'd help..
As far as I remember your car is real nice..

Already Uploaded! My Personal Gallery!

Postby zjdaruwalla » Thu Mar 26, 2009 12:18 am

Hi, All!

Realized I had already uploaded pics of my baby! To have a look, just go look at my personal gallery! There was a guy by the name of John Armstrong who seems to be interested and he said one of his friends had told him about my ad back in February...Any of you recognize the name?

Cheers,
Zubin

Postby zjdaruwalla » Thu Mar 26, 2009 12:54 am

Feck it! I give up! I'm computer illiterate it seems! If anyone wants to see pics, send me an e-mail and I'll send them to you via e-mail or just go to my personal gallery as I've uploaded them all there. Cheers!

Panel lines look good but is there something up with the paint work, or is the camera playing tricks

every A34 silver car I have seen seems to have a two tone paintjob including my own though my bumpers an skirts were resprayed in the past, must be wild hard colour to match

there is a slight difference in colour of the front and rear bumper to the rest of the body on the champagne colour.
this is supposed to be due to the bumpers being made of a plastic.
it will never be a perfect match.
never got to get a good look at the other colours to see if you could notice it.
I'd say that picture just highlighted something that is hard to pick out unless your looking for it

Regarding Colour

Postby zjdaruwalla » Thu Mar 26, 2009 3:22 pm

Hi, All!

First of all, no...The car has never been crashed. As for the colour...A lot of people who have seen the car in the flesh have commented positively on the colour...Its not the usual Silver Mitsubishi use...Seemingly, for the 1998 FTO, they came up with a special, 'Champagne Silver' so it actually looks pretty stunning. Anyway, will be bidding her farewell on Monday. Let me know if anyone in the club want to have a look at her or is contemplating buying as I'd hate to see her go to a non-FTO-Ireland person.

Cheers,

Bye Bye, Baby!

Postby zjdaruwalla » Fri Mar 27, 2009 2:42 pm

Time is coming to say bye bye, baby! Just had Paul Nolan check out the car I'll be trading in my FTO for and it seems to be pretty sound though needs a couple of adjustments which are being done. Gotta say, Paul is honestly one of the best, down to earth and most honest fellas I've come across. Fantastic mechanic.

Anyway, he just told me today that I could certainly get more than a little over 4k for my baby and that I should put it up for sale on my own. Any comments? I told him that in this market, its gonna be real tough. What do you lads think?

Are you actually being offered 4k for the car at the moment.
i.e if you weren't trading in the FTO against the other car, how much discount would you get?

Zero!

Postby zjdaruwalla » Fri Mar 27, 2009 9:05 pm

The fella said he would give me a little over 4k if I traded it in. If I sell it on my own, he ain't budging on his price as he won't have any problem selling it for the price he's put it up for. Just figured that its less hassle for me to try and find a buyer. And I don't have the facility to keep both cars.
