Before I bought my fto I called my insurance broker and asked him
how much extra it would cost to run out my old policy and what a renewal would be. Its cost 200 euro for the existing policy (2months remaining) and said the renewal would be just under 2K. Got my renewal at 3200K.
Got back on to them and they lowered it to 2530. Im 27 with 5 yrs NCB, no accidents, convictions, etc. Full license 2yrs. Its a gpx.

I decided to shop about to see what quotes are like. I called FBD, Axa, Allianz and Quinn direct. No one will quote me. Its either we don't insure jap imports, or we cant insure you in that for your first time with us, etc. Im currently with Hibernian going through a broker and looks like Im gonna get screwed eitherway.
