I'm off to Spain on Saturday. My bro is a bit ignorant when it comes to cars, even though he loves the fto. I would like to show it to you and give you a quick run through if you can make it before Saturday, because I know more of the car than he does and can answer any questions for you. great colour(same as mine) being a GR will mean its only a 4 speed autobox but the alloys look nice, 17", maybe 18". Like Goz said before, they all look great in picutres but seeing them in real life is the only way to know if its a winner or not. Request a shot of the interior.

I know the car well. It's a GX, not a GR. Was owned by gfalls here for 3-4 years from fresh import and I had it for a few months as well (didn't own it though). Sold it this time last year to the current owner.

Car is a 5 speed auto, KMC dials, and immaculate interior when sold. Exterior was also pretty much perfect, no misalignment or dents. There is a reversing camera wired in, but probably isnt hooked up to a receiver.

I couldn't tell you details of the mechanical side of things, as I simply can't remember, but gfalls is extremely fussy about his cars, and kept it tip-top. It mostly sat around outside my house when I had it, and had started to suffer from sticky calipers and stuff, which I had sorted prior to sale.

If it hasn't been done since, i would also recommend that undersealing is carried out, as the undercarriage was beginning to show signs of rusting when I sold it. The seller is a genuine fella from what I can make out, as he was a genuine buyer. I don't think he quite realised the cost of running an FTO as he was a young lad with his dad, switching from a Passat TDI to the FTO. A potentially excellent buy though.

Looks nice and very reasonably priced too. The only thing I don't like about the gx is the aerial (i know, fussy). It makes the fto look like a radio controlled car. My bros gx has an aerial and I hate the look. Would have to have it removed if it were mine. Aside from that, looks like a good offering.

Do all the gx models have that crappy manual aircon control interface? I much prefer the digital one and that would be a big deal for me.

Digital on all GXs, apart from the Aero Editions.

mine has Digital, you bro has an Areo, are there any other things you noticed? does it lack anything, like passanger airbags, ABS?

They are different sellers. The older ad sold to current seller on 07/04/2012, and current seller put it up for 2500 within a fortnight. Possible just someone buying to sell.

Hi everyone got my FTO this evening I went to view gfalls old gx and kenkeo old 98 gpx which I found out later was the one on donedeal went with the 98 manual gpx I just love it I have to say manual mivec is something else I love it car is spotless 100percent happy and guy was I gent to deal with
