31.3 Mpg !

Postby Masa » Fri Aug 08, 2008 6:11 pm

I've just done a go and return trip to Dublin, + some from cobh to cork,

total : 700 km for 52.5 l

Which drives us to 31.3 MPG !

Quite happy with it as the car was literally eating gaz before, but now after some set up it seems to be wayyyyy better :)
7.5 liters to do 100 km is quite good !

I hit 35MPG on my last trip from Limerick to Naas, long journeys always give better MPG.
E5 helps too.

I can't drive relaxed enough to get decent fuel consumption. My foot's too heavy on anything other than 50k roads. That said I have gotten high 20s around the country and mid 20s in the city which isn't TOO bad.

ya, was looking for that E5 but didn't find it ...

anyway 31.3 as I had a huge traffic jam in Dublin, some here as well and I had an heavy foot for some parts is quite ok, I think that on the trip to Dublin itself I was around the 35 as well. Going at 120, gently :)

I've been keeping track now for a while, I just write down the details when I fill up and work it out here.

I actually calculated that I got 32mpg driving around Meath yesterday - well impressed!!

Got about 30mpg today. That's not bad at all in my opinion. I'm far too used to driving around Dublin and getting 22-25.
