A few bits

Postby kevinod » Fri Feb 22, 2008 2:43 pm

Hey all,

have a few bits and pieces to sell, will sort out any missing pics & prices later on, but letting you know so you can check back if you're interested...

* SOLD (gt94) - Cusco lower front strut brace
Same as the "Lower arm bar version I" on this page. Never used, still in original packing.
These guys want £65... for an fto-ireland member €40

* SOLD (Sebastien) - OEM oil temp & vac gauges (note the oil temp sender is not oem, and I haven't tested it)
Image
Say €30?

* 'SOLD' - masks to convert the classic bumper indicator pod spaces to facelift lights (doesn't include facelift indicators/foglights)
Dunno what to ask for, and it wouldn't be much anyway - free!

* BMW halo rings - link to pic
€20 ono?

Kev.

The vac gauge hooks into the piping with a t-piece (t-piece & hose included). The oil temperature sender is one I got separately, a guy on ftooc found that this sender worked when used with a resistor (33ohms I think, including one I got in Maplins). I even bought a wire to go to between the sender and gauge.

I ended up getting a-pillar gauges myself 'cos I wanted to keep my voltmeter & clock, which is why I didn't put them in.

Is the black circle on the left on the oil temp gauge a sticker covering a hole?

This is on mine as well and thought it was a bit sus till I saw your pic.

Hmmm :? not sure to be honest, I'll have to take a look later on when I get home. I only remember they're in good nick, don't remember noticing any holes or anything.

those vacuum and oil temp gauges aren't FTO-specific, think I've seen them on an Evo 3 before.

The front lenses are the original clock and voltmeter parts, and the new gauges are screwed onto them. the hole is where the clock adjustment knob would be.

They were an FTO option alright, although would make sense if they were used in other Mitsis too. I'll take a look when I get home later and see what the story is with the hole, I'm curious about it now myself!

Thems the ones! Just looked at them myself, and yup, its the same as the clock with the hole blocked, but its properly blocked with a piece of black plastic, not just a sticker put over it or anything.

That explains it.

Bit OT but has anyone heard of glow dial sets that include oil and vac?
Anything I've come across only has clock and battery :(

The oil and vac dials don't come apart, so even if you could get faces for them, you wouldn't be able to fit them :(
