What are you doin' for Paddys Day?

Postby CJ » Thu Mar 16, 2006 4:01 pm

Its gonna be too cold to do anything car related methinks, the city (Dublin) will be full of drunken shams and will probabaly be a no go area (I hope the Parade doesn't feature lads in orange, those Celtic fans will wreck the shop...) so there doesn't seem to be too many options. That said, there does appear to be a few bits and pieces going on in Capital D:

Anyone heading in?

I'm off to Nice for the weekend - have an apartment just outside in a place called Antipes.

Very nice (pardon the pun), your own place? I reckon the weather should be slightly better in the south of France!

Enjoy the yacht spotting - they moor the biggest in the world in Antibes !
You not hitting the slopes too ? - they're only 90 mins away.

Am stuck in work today, but its not so bad. Everyone is on a mad buzz. Finished at 2.30 then. Might pay the hippies a visit in the RDS today as the mind body spirit festival is on all weekend. :) See if i can get any crystals to boost the bhp on the FTO! Anyone else stuck in work today?
You know, somebody actually complimented me on my driving today. They left a little note on the windscreen, it said 'Parking Fine'.

Not strictly all mine :( - shared with my folks ;) After re-reading my original post it does sound misleading....

I reckon the weather should be slightly better in the south of France!

I don't think it's gonna be as nice as we hoped but definitely better than here.

Aye, we spent a day there last August - I never saw a yacht / motor launch / whatever you call them as big as these puppies - more impressive though was the cars - some serious machinery there and most are only there for when the boat owners drop in for a few weeks every year......

You not hitting the slopes too ? - they're only 90 mins away.

I wanted to - Isola2000 - but I was over-ruled.... apparently it's too much hassle to lug ski gear over for 1 weekend - even my compromise of hiring skis didn't work.....
