Colt seat belts

Postby CJ » Sun Dec 23, 2007 3:24 pm

Both front seat belts in the other halfs '97 Colt won't retract or detract properly, anyone come across this flaw before? It looks to me like bad design on Mitsi's part, the angle of the slot where the seatbelt enters the trim looks to badly placed in relation to the belt guide. Its either that ot the spring mechanism has failed in both units (whcih again could be bad design). I'm loath to go hacking at the trim before I can test another belt unit, anyone happen to know where I might pick one up? Its too cold to go seaching thru a scrap yard at the moment ;)

I've got a mate in ireland who drove a 98 colt for years, i'll be talking to him over the xmas break, i'll ask if he had any issues.
