Saw the funniest thing at the weekend

Postby soc » Mon May 21, 2007 5:54 pm

I was sitting in a traffic jam on the M50 (no suprise there then) when I clock this wannabe "gangsta" driving an 06 micra, windows down, brit (techno) pop blaring, speakers distored, and despite the 18 degrees outside he was wearing his baseball cap with his hoodie up - he was giving large with the hand movements in some bizarre attempt to "rap" to the the techno pop.... I almost wet myself laughing.

To say he wasn't impressed when he realised I was pi$$ing myself laughing is an understatement. So he reckoned he'd be the man and teach me all about how fast his micra was by driving up my ar$e at 50mph in heavy traffic just after the toll bridge (northbound). Suffice to say as soon as we had some clear road I put the little twat back in his box

Quite a co-incidence then.
Cause I was on my way to my baby girl wit a bucket of chicken and some Dom Peri and was sitting in my Micra at the toll booth the other day given it large and listenin to some tunes when some white boy in a TT listening to classic FM drove by and laughed at me. Obviously didn't know who he was f*ckin with cause I had on my baseball cab and hoody up just in case the fuzz was around and also to impress the ladies.

Anway I showed him what my ride can do and stuck up his hole on the way out from the toll booth - no problem with keeping up with the TT with my modded ride complete with shopping list and fluffy dice. Then I decided that he wasn't worth it and instead of roastin his ass I thought I'd just hang back and chill!

Was it by chance one of these lads??!

(Didn't realise there was an actual Micra tuner scene out there, mind you they are pretty far away..)

This lad has the right idea - it's still a micra though.. a bit of a monster micra with a turbo under bonnet..

Heh, if it was I'd be :smt022 and I'd already have an advert in carzone for a design icon shopping trolley

It was a Micra Sport too but I'm relieved to say he had his ass handed to him on a plate - 280bhp + 280ft/lb torque does the job nicely

I wish, I do miss the sound of the FTO. I was almost tempted to trade the 225 in against a V6 TT but I would have taken too much of a hit on what I paid compared to what was being offered as a trade...

But to answer your question - just a remap, modified airbox and cold air feed - somewhere between 270 & 280 might be a more realistic figure but the difference is night and day compared to stock.
