All Topaz sites in Leinster are Ethanol 5% mix!!! (official)

Well as you know, we did not know this officially yet. I was aware that Topaz were getting a huge tax break on 100000s of litres of ethanol each year under a "bio fuel" deal with the government. The only other petrol seller getting the same grant was Maxol. I had also heard off an employee of Topaz that they use the Ethanol mix in all their Dublin sites but they chose not to advertise/market it yet like Maxol because they found many customers were convinced that the ethanol mix would damage their cars... In fact any modern car (last 20 years) can take a 10% mix without any problems, so 5% is very weak and WILL NOT damage seals or fuel pumps etc, but you know Irish people. If the car stuttered they would go back and try and get a free handout or voucher form the garage and blame the ethanol as it never happened when they filled at texaco etc etc.... (sorry but its true). anyway this is from the Topaz customer sales director... ALL LEINSTER TOPAZ SITES!!! Happy Motoring lads... (Im also convinced I car is going better since I started filling at Topaz too)

"Apologies, your original mail did not reach me.

We supply Unleaded with a 5% Ethanol blend to all our sites in Leinster.

Please feel free to contact me on 086-****** for any further
information

My original question was -->

Do you use an Ethanol 5% mix in your standard unleaded fuel? Do you
intend to? Can you provide some details please.

Thanks

Great now I can go to Maxol or the Topaz garage beside me in Sallynoggin whichever is cheapest :D and I have the same option in Longford too! Before this I was a slave to the Maxol prices!!

This is gonna be great!

My local shell is after switching to Topaz, well in the process of it, pumps are changed but have A4 sheets of paper on them stating unleaded or v-power. So what is the normal Topaz like? Is it just regular crap or what?

Assuming the above statement is correct (re Leinster), I would expect so.
