Headlight Bulb issue!

Postby asti_mivec » Tue Mar 18, 2008 10:43 am

Hi there,

Well I finally got my hands on a manual GPX on Saturday and on the way home the headlight bulb went. Now I've gotten the replacement bulb but I cannot get the old one out. Has anyone had any issue with the bulb getting jammed into the socket, and if so, any idea how to get it out as my thumbs cannot take any more pressure and it won't budge for me!

I have searched and cannot find this problem anywhere so I do apologise if I've missed it.

Cheers,
Baz

I had the same problem asti_mivec, what I did was get my big strong boyfriend to pull it out!

No seriously it's just dust & dirt over the year's, just keep at it wiggling pulling at the same time (Yes I no Bernard & Dragonheart) and make sure you've the little clip's pressed in at all times through out this!

Try and get him to clean it once in a while.
I clean mine at least once every other week whether it needs it or not.

Well looks like I opened up a can of smutty worms here

Guess I'll just persevere with it and keep wiiggling it until she pops so! Didn't want to drag at it too in case there was something I didn't know. the working one comes out fine though (typical of course) Well that'll be a job for this evening with a pliers me thinks.

Cheers!

Oh - my - god..

Marie & Bernard.. you guys should be censored!

Now - with regards to the bulb - if you can wiggle it even the slightest little bit - try if you can get a little bit of wd-40 on it that should help you loosen the dirt/grime that keeps it stuck in there..

Come to think of it - maybe somebody should apply wd-40 to Marie and Bernards minds as well... they seem well and truely stuck in the gutter.
