Yikes.... Aren;t you meant to do it the other way around? Find insurance and then buy a GPX?
You'll do well to find a sub 2000euro quote at age 20 on a 200bhp coupe I would think. Your best bet is probably Quinn Direct. They were cheapest for me and Im in my 20s too.
Unfortunatley though, anyone under 25 is really gonna have hard time on any 2 litre car, let alone a sports coupe.

i'd say you'd be doing well to get insured at all!! my insurance came down when i switched to a 350Z, just goes to show how way out the insurance companies have it when it comes to the FTO!!

Maybe get your mother to insure and have you as a named driver - might be the cheapest option.
otherwise....
FTO Mivec GPX....for sale methinks unless you have deep pockets.

have to agree, ya wont get a realistic quote, im 20 also and my insurance on the gpx cost me €4000!!! You think thats crazy..... that was as a named driver under my mothers name
Had to sell the car when the renewal date came round
Sell her mate, fto's are blacklisted, get a decent 1.6 (mivec, levin) or a gsr will match the fto performance wise... for about half the insurance premium

I wonder is that cause your a girl? I bet it is. Girls age 18+ can insure all sorts of powerful coupes...
Mine is 850 with quinn. 28 and 5 years no claims on a full license. thats still double my last insurance on the alfa I had.

Fair play...
Cannot argue with them stats. U got your full license at 18. thats deadly. Most peeps get a provisional and put it off. Your dead right though, earlier the better.

Being a girl helps a lot more than the 4 year license and no points. High insurance is a guy thing - we tend to kill ourselves quite often.

All you can do in really to go through all the insurance companies and brokers you can find numbers for- but given your age and NCB I'm afraid it's not going to be easy or cheap..
Also another idea is to call offices that aren't in the capital..I got my insurance through Eagle Star in galway..Even thought the Dublin office said no 1st time I rang them..

Seeing as the original post (and only post from the OP) was 8 months ago its unlikely theres an FTO still sitting uninsured on his driveway.

Keep an eye on the For Sale section here - nice examples of owner club FTO's come up quite often. I know a couple of guys on here that are presently thinking of changing their FTO so you might get a couple of PMs.
There seems to be plenty for sale on cbg,Autotrader and carzone. What is your budget?

You will certainly need to do your homework on a 5K FTO - there will be a lot that will need attention at that price. Like I said though - most of the owner club FTOs tend to be better looked after and have been well maintained so it may be worthwhile waiting for a suitable one to come up.
