thinking of moving to AUZ or NZ!!!

this im hoping to do within a year, but its a permanent move, any tips?

should i go on a one year visa and find a permanent job and sponser?

also can any of our australian friends on this site tell me how much jap cars are over there compared to here, do you pay VRT, VAT etc, and if so at what rates? also shipping costs from japan to AUZ, and market value of eg a 1999/00 fto gpx manual.

Heaps of FTO's in Aus.
Been there 3 times now - cars seem to hold their value better than over here - there is no year snobery like in Ireland hence cars have a more realistic value - new cars are much cheaper but the 2nd hand car market is pretty strong. A nice 95 GPX would be circa 13K AUD (8K euro) while a 99 GPX could set you back 19K AUD (11.5K Euros) - so pretty close to Irish prices despite the the MUCH cheaper price of new cars.

Great country for an FTO - really nice roads along the East Coast - pity about the amount of speed cops though.
