FTODIY site has a link to making your own tool for adjusting tappets - too busy to find link - do a search and it will come up no doubt.

Get a lonch reach 10mm socket from Halfrauds, or the Irish equivalent, and grind the side off it with either a grinder (Doh!) or llike I did, a stone wheel in a drill.

If you do a search on the UK FTOOC you will find it easy enough. I made mine in half an hour.

Get a 10mm box wrench from a hardware store and cut the side off to open it up . A screwdriver will the fit down the middle and you have a tool even better than the mitsi one.

excellent tip rory! that is much handier. I will try that instead. Do i need a screwdriver with a hex on the shaft or do the tappets adjust easily?
