Victory tyres Limerick

Pootled into town today to get knightrider laser tracked (no reason, just wanted it done), the owner there - Paul - is a legend. Said he wouldn't touch the tracking unless he had a look underneath the car first. Which he did, then he asked me had a camera phone and brought me underneath it. (never seen underneath it before - it's spotless! Yay!) Anyhoo, he pointed out that the track rod end is gone on drivers side, so I have to get it replaced before he will track it. (All the bushes and droplinks are fine too! Double yay!)

So I'll buy it on camskill, thing is he recommended a mechanic that I'm sure is fine with 'other' cars but I'd worry with mine... Is it a straightforward job for all cars, or can one of you recommend someone nearby to me that knows fto or jap cars??

Thankee muchly :)

When I brought my car home MFFTO recommended a mechanic in Limerick.
I found him very good, and he's just up the road from Petmania.

I'll PM you his details.

Yeah, Myfeckin gave me the number that local fella too, knows FTO's inside out apparently.
BTW, where did you go to get the tracking done in the first place?

A track rod end is a piece of p1ss to fit for any mehanic - even the tyre place shouldn't have a problem with fitting it.

Joe lives out near Caherconlish - would recommend him for servicing your FTO as he knows them inside out.

Gonna buy this now, and get it fitted for free - by Derek! He reckons it looks simple enough.

My mechanics a mate and he has a lift. Damn sight easier (and quicker) than axel stands - I just don't trust those yokes to hold up a car esp while you're dragging out of it underneath.

I buy ALL my own parts and will often help out with the fitting and servicing of my car but its good to have a second (more experienced) opinion.

Went to Joe last night - guy is a leg end. (and my car got covered in crap!) Really knows his stuff. Looked at the FTO and the 172. (oooh lots of expensive things wrong there)

Victory tyres are fine for laser tracking - don't listen to them for anything else! My rear bushes are gone and my CV boot on driver's side too. On recommendation (and the fact that he reckons Shane's are the shizzle :D ) I'm going to get poly. bushes and the boot from Camskill.

Just said on the off chance if any of ye had these going ye'd let me know?

Or if anybody needs anything from them? They are fleecing me for postage - £14! And I already ordered from them last week, they must think I'm mad
