Nice looking FTO - VERY hard to believe that an 11 year old car has just 30K miles though. Very big bucks for a 97 GX Tip (or any 97 FTO for that matter).

Mileage is genuine. I've had it for 6yrs and put only 9,500kilometers on it. The price is what i'd like to get for it after all the work i put into it but I wouldn't refuse a decent offer knowing it was going to a good home. I love the sparcos - great seats, they hold you in and don't give you that sore backside some seats do.

She looks mint! Got to agree on the seats, though I've never sat in sparcos but I have recaros and they are super comfy. Mine look lower than those sparcos though, maybe its just the pic.

I like the seats too, and the wheels for that matter, all it's missing is Mivec

Ditto, I think they look the part. As we all know, money spent on mods is not necessarily won back come resale time. MfFTO is right, the price is a bit ambitious, if you're serious about selling you should consider revising accordingly.

I looked at both the mivec and standard 2lt engines when I was buying and to be honest didn't find a huge difference between them. They are both very fast cars. I went for the standard 2lt for insurance purposes as it was cheaper at the time. It's a stinger alright how money you spend on your car does not increase its value in the real world. I used to think my last car would be worth more than an average example because of the mods and work and alloys etc. Even if you keep all the receipts it just doesn't work. People seem reluctant to pay over the odds. I'd say you'd get 7500 for it alright, maybe 8k at a push... almost 9500 seems huge. I have a low mileage 99 GPvR and would not look for more than 8k. Your does look great though and hope you get a good offer for it.

PS. Don't tell Mivec owners there is not a big difference between the non-mivec engine and the mivec  8)

P.P.S Red brake caliper paint 50.00euro? seriously? don't think it adds to the car value though. we all spend on that type of stuff, never to be seen again.
I'd like to put on my advert 200+ coats of autoglym high shine - 175euro. :P

Caliper paint? I spend about E5 on mine in Woodies, its called Hammerite, dont put that on a selling point, people will laugh at you, stick to the more decent things like the sparcos and inductions kits and alloys. Just a tip. :-)

7-7.5k is very good money for a clean 97 GX Tip, if you hold out long enough, you'll sell it for that sort of money.

No, I still have it. I didn't want to pay carzone anymore money for a handful of phone calls and some scammers from the UK!

I have it added to the for sale section for €7,450.
