Jacking up points for Trolley jack

I found a tread the other day for Jacking up points for Trolley jack
but cannot find it now any help want to paint my calipers.

If you look under the car, there is a ridge running between the wheels, about 4" in from the edge of the car on the underside. Within the first foot back from the front wheels, and forward from the back wheels, there are 2 notches in this ridge, and AFAIK, this is where you can lift the car from, and provide some amount of grip also to stop the trolly moving. I know the notches are more prominant near the front of mine.
I've used these on my own car, but the usual disclaimer applies( :P ) , so you might still wish to get further advice, or maybe someone can back me up on this?
