I've been keeping an eye on the above thread from Irishmoc.
Sounds like there are some fairly uptight, angry young men out there!
I'm sure they would be much more mellow and content if they were driving FTO's!

An FTO perhaps?
Look deep into my eyes  - you want to trade your Golf for a 99 GPX or GPvR  - when I clap my hands you'll be back on the forum and looking in the for sale section.

LMFAO - almost worked except last night I got that trial for Revo installed and OMFG - the difference is amazing - so much so that I was actually a bit nervous in the wet. I got some wheelspin at 5000rpm and 50mph in 2nd gear which was a bit scary. Anyway the acceleration is more savage than anything I've ever owned before, mid range and top end is vastly improved so I'm definitely gonna get the real thing when I get back from Italy.

Anyway moving on to the actual topic.... I provisionally booked Saturday the 26th of Feb for an FTO (+ others) rolling road day. I forgot to ask the cost though - CJ, any ideas?

And can we get a show of hands for all the definites?

Finally as I'm heading away on Wednesday for the next 3 weeks can someone else follow up on this and confirm with Westward?

Btw, I'm a definite ;-)

So is everyone on the list ok? And do we have a volunteer to organise the meet?

I'm still a definite + Paj Evo + one other lady petrol head with her mivec.
What organising needs to be done beyond just booking with Westward and making sure your ass is there on the day?

Is everyone ok with Sat Feb 26th?

Sounds like you're volunteering here Dave - I'm off to Italy for the next 3 weeks and I'll have very limited email access so won't be able to follow up on this - Westward were pretty keen to find out if we're definites or not asap -

Anyway I'm a definite - so the list now looks like this - can anyone else interested copy the list foward and add their name:

1. MFFTO
2. Paj Evo
3. Mivec Lady
4. Shane
5.

CJ, didn't put you down yet just in case you're not a definite (although I guess you are :-))

The last time I was there, Martin promised me a free run the next time I was down to make up for the fact that he hadn't got his new dyno up and running (theres difficulty getting figures for autos off the standard dyno).

ok folks, i will now not be fitting the kit till the 11th of Feb, something has come up this weekend which we can't get out of and i'm off to France the following week. I can still organise this meet if ye want but i can't guarantee that i will be able to attend!

The main motivation behind the meet was to check out your motor Dave, I reckon we would be better off waiting until you're ready to go. Personally, I won't be around the following w/e (18th) but don't let that stop you.

Comments?

no the 26th is still good, but just depending on how well the fitting of the kit goes.

The idea of the meet is to meet other FTO drivers and check out Daves car - Dave do you want to book a date you are more comfortable with and we can try work around that.

well like i said i seriously am hoping that the car will still be ready for the 26th...... but there is the possibility that something goes wrong and i can't make it. Either way i think the meet should still go ahead, there are a few from the Irish Mitsi site that are interested as well so even if i wasn't there on the day it'd still be a good turn out and a good meet.

I'd like to see your car too but I can be flexible on the dates - if it's after the 26th that's cool. Westward were keen for someone to let them know if the 26th was a runner or not though.

Is the 26th of Feb still a runner for the rolling road then?
Has it been booked?
