hi jimbo,

Not many guys with a Mivec Controller on this site - those that I know that have are not running a turbo. I can only add that on an NA Mivec FTO that there is no performance gain to be had from messing around with the Mivec points - this was proved to me at the last 1/4 mile when JayVR ran fastest with the factory settings.

the settings you have suggested seem to be suited to the NA mivec FTO -Its likely to be different for a turbo set-up dependant upon the rpm that your turbo kicks in at. I would imagine for instance that if your turbo kicked in at 3000 and started to tail off at 6000 that it would be beneficial for the mivec to come on stream at a later point but theres really nothing like putting it on a rolling road and trying a few settings and figuring out via the power/torque graph what the optimum settings are. I imagine the best option would be for as smooth a curve as possible to make the FTO as driveable as possible rather than looking for peak power alone.

Give us a look at this Mivec Turbo - we don't get to see any around these parts.

What is it about the Scots and turbo FTOs? ;)

Any idea what power its putting down? Personally, I'd be concerned about putting too much extra power through the torque convertor oi the 4-sp tip gearbox.

Im actually from Northern Ireland, just moved to Scotland last year. The box will handle the power with no worries the car only runs at 5psi,she can run on a higher map which add 30 bhp at the wheels.Ive only ever ran her on low boost though. The good thing about the auto is she wont spin the wheels from stand still but can still run 1/4 mile in 14.13
