Help needed

Hi everyone I am new on here I forund this site by looking through web for advice,

I have a big problem, I was out in the wifes FTO last night and when I returned the Ignition key will not turn back enough to allow me to remove it from ingition. the display on dash says it is in PARK I can start and drive the car fine I just cant leave it anywhere in cast someone sees key.

Any help will be very welcome

my normal advice to this will be try shaking wheel to free stearing lock may wiggle out. but my best bet would be your barrel is on its way out m8 think a full lock set is no more than 200 on camskill

Thanks for the advice!
I havd done it I removed the Plastic from round the gear lever, Found the cables pulled them but no joy, But there is a button in there as well and it must of been stuck in I pressed it and it came out then key came out. I put some oil on it, I think it happened when I was on my way home I hit a big pot hole I thing this may of caused the problem.

Thanks anyway she has stopped giving me evil looks now and saying I had broke her car.
